Appointments can be made online, at the desk or by telephone. We offer appointments 48 hours and 1 week ahead of the appointment date.
Appointments are released at 8.30am each day for urgent morning appointments, and at 2.00pm each day for urgent afternoon appointments. These appointments are intended for patients with acute medical problems that cannot wait.
Please bear in mind each Doctor’s working days when looking to book an appointment. If your problem is urgent, you will be given an appointment that day but not necessarily with your usual doctor.
Please let us know if you have to cancel your appointment for any reason so that it can be given to someone else.

As part of a group of GP Practices working together as a GP Federation, Baldwins Lane Surgery provides access to weekday evening and weekend appointments in the Watford Extended Access (WEA) service, which is managed by Direct Local Health Ltd. Our patients can now make an appointment to see a GP on weekday evenings, Saturdays 9am - 1pm and 3pm - 7pm, and Sundays 9am - 1pm; to see a Nurse on Saturdays 9am - 1pm and to have blood tests with a Phlebotomist on Saturdays and Sundays. Please ask the receptionist for further details on how to book an appointment. During these appointments your health record may be accessed and viewed by clinical staff other than your GP or a GP at your practice.
